This time I had the Apricot Cinnamon herbal tea. It was slightly spicy and nicely refreshing.
I’ve been drinking way to much coffee! Oh, Trader Joe’s Winter Blend, why are you so yummy? Is it the coffee or peppercorns or anise? Why do I want to drink you all day to the point where I run down the stairs [...]

Tea Tuesday: Oolong at Voluto Coffee

The oolong today is from Voluto Coffee around the corner from my house. No pictures because I forgot to bring the camera cord! I was surprised at the knowledge of the baristas of the tea! YAY! Finally, a coffee place that I can get a decent cuppa!
This is a Taiwanese oolong called White Tip Bai Hao. the liqueur is [...]

Tea Review: Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice

Last week I shared the other bagged tea I drink. The Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice is so good and caffeine free, so I stock up in the winter to drink it year round. ( I also like the Nutcracker Sweet and Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride, but didn’t stock up on those last year! I will this year [...]
Tea Review: Stash Holiday Chai

This is the first of the 2 bagged teas that I drink in the winter. Generally, I’m a loose tea snob, but the Stash Holiday Chai is great! With a black tea base, there is also cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger root, allspice, clove, gingerbread, rum, and nutmeg flavors. It tastes like winter; I have no other [...]

Dream Tea came as part of the herbal tea sampler from Mountain Rose Herbs.

Tea Review: Star of Africa

I purchased Star of Africa at Teaism in Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. Star of Africa contains Rooibos, yellow plum, orange, apple, papaya, pineapple and ginger. The ginger gives it a nice bite while still being fruity and light.
I prefer this as an iced tea, but I had it as a hot tea Teaism, and [...]
Tea Review: Hibiscus Apple

Hibiscus Apple, another fruity tisane, is from Argo Tea in Chicago. I was lucky enough to stay across the street from an Argo Tea cafe, and of course couldn’t leave without bringing some back!
Hibiscus Apple is a perfectly fruity iced tea. I find myself adding a pinch of sugar, and I’m sure I could pass [...]

This has a [...]
Tea Review: Rishi Tangerine Ginger

I bought this tea (technically a tisane) at Tea Gallery in Seattle. Any time I have tummy troubles, I pull this tea out. It’s slightly bitter and slightly sweet.
I generally brew it dark, with lots of leaves and drink it warm, with one ice cube to cool it for drinking immediately. It also makes great [...]
