(There was no internet at the hotel last night, so this is the post for Sunday, August 10th. I’ll post today in a few minutes.)
We started off from Miles City, MT, where we had breakfast at 4B’s. We drove around town and took pictures of the cool old signs and sights. We drove onto North Dakota, but not before I got a speeding ticket. Oh well.
North Dakota was beautiful. We stopped at the pained valley at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Then we started in on our “authentic 1950’s Road Trip.” We saw Salem Sue – the world’s largest Holstein cow in New Salem, ND. Then we saw The world’s largest buffalo in Jamestown, ND. then it was onto Fargo.
We found out all the bars were closed, but the liquor store was open, so we bought a bottle of gin and watched TV.
Here’s a picture of us at Jamestown near the buffalo.
